Paola Nezi

Graduated in April 2020 in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology (CTF) from the University of Siena in the Department of Biotechnology, Chemistry and Pharmacy with the thesis: “Vascular endothelium and inflammation: characterization of the activity of plant extracts”, she obtained her professional license as a pharmacist in the same year. From January to July 2021, she won an Erasmus for traineeship postgraduate grant in which she worked on “Extraction of terpenoid compounds with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and hypoglycemic properties from horticultural plants.” From November 2021, got enrolled in the PhD program in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology – Bibim 2.0 (XXXVII cicle) at the University of Siena in cooperation with Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences (TLS) dealing mainly with mass spectrometry applied to metabolomic and proteomic analysis of plant extracts. <br>
