BIOSCIENCE RESEARCH CENTER
Environmental analyses to measure the effects of an invisible enemy
Exposure to contaminants is an inevitable part of our daily life, through the environment in which we live and the food we eat. In fact, with a simple meal we are potentially exposed to the ingestion of chemicals present in food, but also of plastic microparticles contained in the packaging, or in the kitchenware that we use to prepare our dishes.
Bioscience Research Center is a private research center committed to providing highly qualified analysis services in the environmental, agri-food and human health sector. An almost exclusively female research team who, as a business philosophy, make use of the proceeds made from the provision of services, analysis and consultancy to finance their own internal scientific research.
Believing in and relying on the Bioscience Research Center is, therefore, a way to finance scientific research; an application example of this is the creation of the UltraBio App, a completely free service aimed both at the general public and the professionals, such as dieticians and nutritionists, which allows to monitor the level of contaminants taken through daily nutrition, starting from the official data of EFSA (European Food Safety Authority). This tool lets users self-manage their exposure, through a system that takes into account not only the quantities and types of foods introduced into a diet, but also the individual’s personal characteristics.
Thanks to TLS, the Bioscience Research Center has reached both the market and the health sector faster and more effectively, in addition to having consolidated its business model using the business mentorship service. The presence in TLS offers a greater visibility and prestige to the research activities carried out by the company, thus promoting the creation of a solid corporate curriculum in the field of applied scientific research.
Bioscience Research Center has been incubated in TLS since 2016.
