The Human Brain as You Have Never Seen It

Siena Imaging was set up by a research group of the Siena University Neuroimaging Laboratory. The company aims at offering neurologists, neuro radiologists, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies brain image indicators, software, and volumetric analyses functional to the study of the progression of diseases such as Alzheimer and multiple sclerosis.
Siena Imaging is a very young company established in 2017, but its founders can count on 15 years of experience acquired in the Siena University laboratories. The company’s partners and founders are Nicola De Stefano, President and Neurology Professor at the Medical Sciences, Surgery and Neurosciences Department; Marco Battaglini, researcher at the University of Siena and Managing Director of Siena Imaging; and Giacomo Demurtas, IT scientist.
Thanks to its participation in BioUpper, the national startup competition with more than 200 participants where Siena Imaging ranked 10th, the company gained great visibility among high technology and research companies.
Siena Imaging develops software in collaboration with the most important neuroimaging centers in the world, like the one in Oxford, and counts on the expertise of three partners and two young researchers, and on many collaborations with national and international pharmaceutical companies.
Siena Imaging has been incubated in TLS since June 2017.
