Roberta Drago

In 2019 Roberta Drago got her Bachelor degree in Biotechnology at the University of Palermo working on the characterization of microbial systems that induce biodeterioration under the supervision of Prof. Franco Palla. Subsequently, Roberta moved to the University of Parma, where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Medical, Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies. She did her thesis work under the supervision of Dr. Anna Kabanova at the Tumor Immunology Unit. Her project was based on the development of efficient mRNA-based protocols to induce gene overexpression in primary tumor cells from leukemic patients. During this period, Roberta became highly interested in exploring human immune system in health and disease. From November 2021, Roberta got enrolled in the PhD pogram in Translational and Precision Medicine at the University of Siena to continue her studies on tumor suppression mechanisms in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
