Il sempre maggiore impegno di TLS anche sul fronte della ricerca propria, ha visto negli ultimi anni una notevole crescita del contributo scientifico dei ricercatori e delle ricercatrici della Fondazione.
PerfeTTO
NATIONAL PROJECTS

The Life Science TTO Network project, known as PerfeTTO, funded under the Innovative Health Ecosystems – Technology Transfer Centres Network Programme (Complementary Funds) and coordinated by the Centro Cardiologico Monzino IRCCS, aims to establish and strengthen a network of technology transfer centres to support the enhancement of Italy’s National Health Service (SSN).
The 42-month project involves TLS as a Level II Spoke, a member of the Project Committee, and, through UVaR, in supporting the participation of Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) from Tuscany’s Regional Health Service institutions and universities involved in the initiative. The project has a total budget of €15 million, of which €100,000 is allocated to TLS.
Bringing together Level I and Level II Spokes located across the country, the project aims to strengthen technology transfer activities and foster the creation of innovative new businesses, including start-ups and spin-offs, in the life sciences sector. Existing technology transfer structures, such as the Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) of universities and public research organisations, the technology transfer units operating within IRCCSs and other National Health Service institutions, regional TTOs, and TTO networks, will be integrated into a coordinated system and provided with shared resources and technical support.
The project involves 54 partners, including IRCCSs, universities, public and private organisations, structured into a Hub and Level I and Level II Spokes. Representing the national network as the project Hub is the Centro Cardiologico Monzino IRCCS in Milan, together with the Level I Spokes IRCCS Istituto Romagnolo per lo Studio dei Tumori “Dino Amadori” (IRST) in Meldola and IRCCS “Saverio de Bellis” in Castellana Grotte.
The programme’s overarching goal is to create an innovative healthcare ecosystem by establishing excellence-driven clinical and translational research networks within the National Health Service, capable of sharing technologies, expertise, and resources across institutions. The project will run for eight years, with the first four years co-funded by the Italian Ministry of Health.
