NATIONAL PROJECTS

Among the strategic priorities currently driving the activities of Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences are projects funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and the National Complementary Investments Plan (PNC). These initiatives play a key role in strengthening Italy’s research and innovation landscape and offer a valuable opportunity to support the growth and competitiveness of the life sciences ecosystem.

Through its involvement in these programmes, TLS is committed to fostering and strengthening collaboration between research organisations, industry, and national and regional institutions, promoting knowledge transfer, the development of innovative technologies, and the translation of research outcomes into tangible benefits for both public health and regional economic development.

In this context, TLS leverages its expertise, infrastructure, and established network to support the delivery of high-impact projects, helping to build synergies between public and private stakeholders and accelerate innovation across the life sciences sector.

Tuscany Health Ecosystem (THE)

Tuscany Health Ecosystem (THE) is one of the 11 innovation ecosystems funded at the national level under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and the only one entirely dedicated to the life sciences sector. The project’s primary goal is to foster, support, and strengthen the growth of Tuscany’s life sciences ecosystem through a multidisciplinary approach, high-level specialist expertise, cross-fertilisation of technologies and knowledge, and effective collaboration among researchers, clinicians, and industry stakeholders.

HEAL Italia

“Health Extended ALliance for Innovative Therapies, Advanced Lab-research, and Integrated Approaches of Precision Medicine” (HEAL ITALIA) is Italy’s first national research and innovation network dedicated to precision medicine, bringing together TLS as a partner alongside 24 other organisations across 11 regions throughout the country.

PerfeTTO

The PerfeTTO project, funded under the Innovative Health Ecosystems Programme – Technology Transfer Centres Network (Complementary Funds) and coordinated by Centro Cardiologico Monzino IRCCS, aims to establish and strengthen a network of technology transfer centres to support the enhancement of Italy’s National Health Service (SSN).

PISAMUNAB

The PISAMUNAB project aims to establish an advanced platform for the generation and selection of human monoclonal antibodies and nanobodies, leveraging libraries derived.

PROREACT

The PROREACT project aims to establish and validate an integrated high-throughput research platform for the identification and isolation of monoclonal antibodies.
