SINO-EU‐PERMED – “WIDENING SINO‐EU POLICY AND RESEARCH COOPERATION IN PERSONALISED MEDICINE”
General aspects
The health systems’ transformation from reactive treatment models to predictive and preventive systems, so as the personalised medicine paradigm implementation, requires cooperation and coordination among different actors, not only at European and Community level, with the aim of building an integrated action plan to foster the innovation in this field.
The main objective is the development of new methods to explore viability of personalised approaches in the health systems through collaboration between 6 partners among excellent research centres from Europe (Italy, Denmark, Germany and Ireland) and China, while broaden and deepen collaborative efforts between stakeholders from both regions. The project will also involve stakeholders from China into ICPerMed.
SINO-EU‐PerMed is a four years project with a budget of about 2 Million euros.
Project’s activities
SINO-EU‐PerMed activities, coordinated by the Partner German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR), will have a first phase dedicated to the mapping scientific, technological and policy landscape in the field of Personalised Medicine with the aim to track the collaborations already in place between EU and China. Once the PerMed landscape is defined, a collaboration plan UE-China will be developed in order to reinforce the innovation capacity of the two Regions and establish a permanent dialogue between IC-PerMed and the Chinese players. Third and last phase, the proposal and promotion of multilevel collaborations (academic, industrial and business) throughout the project with the organisation of ad-hoc events.
