Regions4PerMed - “Interregional coordination for a fast and deep uptake of personalised health”

General aspects
The health systems’ transformation from reactive treatment models to predictive and preventive systems, so as the personalised medicine paradigm implementation, requires cooperation and coordination among different actors and european programmes such as Member States and regions with the aim of building an integrated action plan to foster the innovation in this field.
The project, based on technical dialogue with the most important international experts, already involved more than 30 regions and will face important topics such as big data, AI and electronic medical records until telemedicine and innovative procurement with the aim to identify the biggest obstacles at a full development of personalised medicine as well as to indicate which investments (also combined at interregional level) could be activated.
Regions4Permed has a 4 years duration and a budget of 1,7 millions Euros.

Project’s activities
Regions4Permed, coordinated by Toscana Life Sciences in partnership with Saxony Region (DE); Axencia Galega para a Xestión do Coñecemento en Saúde (ES), Lower Silesia Voivodeship Marshal Office (PL), Fondazione Regionale per la Ricerca Biomedica (IT) and Wroclow Medical University (PL), will elaborate guidelines supporting future research and innovation programmes concerning Personalised Medicine, will reinforce synergies and interconnections among CE Research Framework Programmes (Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe) and FESR programmes.
