Noemi Manganaro

Noemi earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques at the University of Messina. Then she moved to Siena where she obtained her Master’s degree in Health Biology in 2016 and the PhD degree in Life Sciences at the laboratory of the EMBO member Prof.ssa Cosima Baldari in March 2020.
During her PhD period, Noemi investigated on the role of the Shc family adaptor p66Shc on chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) severity and progression, focusing attention on the cross-talk between CLL B cells and the stromal microenvironment.
Noemi is currently a Post-Doctoral researcher at the laboratory of Dr. Rino Rappuoli at Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences in Siena. Here, she works at the isolation of human monoclonal antibodies against Sars-CoV-2 for therapy and vaccine development.
