“Poverty related diseases” is a photographic exhibition that will be hosted at the Museum “S. Maria della Scala” in Siena from November 05th to December 31st.
This is a special event aimed at sensibilizing the scientific and non scientific population with the poverty related diseases such as HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
The photographer, Ivo Saglietti, realized many reportage all around the world and received prestigious awards such as the “World Press Photo Award” in 1992 (for his work in Perù on cholera pestilence), the “Photographers in the Service for Freedom and Justice” in 1996 and, in 1999 the “World Press Photo Awards” for his work in Kosovo. Saglietti is actually employed at “Zeitenspiegel”, a German agency founded by journalists and photographers which also support a journalist school and an important photo-journalistic award.
